My uncle is very lucky for being one of the many cell tower owners scattered all over America . When we heard the news, we instantly asked him about the details of the lease. Who knows, we might also be another landowner that may be granted with the lease, right? We also own a huge land and we might be lucky to have a tower lease in the future too.

I was inspired by the way he managed his property because having his land leased for a cell tower, he was able to close a 20 year term with the carrier. Meaning, he is expecting to receive a regular passive income in the next two decades. According to him, there are specific requirements to have your land under consideration.

First it should be 2 to 2,500 square feet and strategically located in an urban area. The land should not be near any currently existing tower. It should also be at an accessible area, just near the main road with a dense population or high traffic counts. An industrial land situated near residential houses would be a good potential cell site. It should also meet a certain business criteria set by the carriers.

Now that we know the requirements, is your land qualified?
